A note from the director

Learn about the history of the Stephen Jacob House (PDF), which Historic Windsor purchased in 2008 and intends to use for the workshops and training programs offered by the Preservation Education Institute.

HWI/PEI member and instructor, Sally Fishburn, extracted this Indian Shutter from a wall at the Stephen Jacob House on Friday, July 16, 2010.  The  shutter is over five feet high.  The two vertical raised panels are 41" by 13" each.  They are in excellent condition and appear to have an original coat of a light sage green paint.
